Blog Hop and Follow Friday

Follow Friday is a weekly feature hosted by Parajunkee's View. Each week, one blogger is featured, and this week it's Rebecca at Confessions of a Page Turner

It also asks a different question each week. This week's question is: "Give us five book related silly facts about you."

1.) I'm really afraid that books will go out, and it will all be E-Readers. So I try to buy as many books as I can.

2.) I CANT read a serious out of order, they have to be in the same order, and I always tend to accidentally buy books out of order!

3.) Right now me and my nephew are in a competition to see who can read the most books this year. Im at 17.

4.) whatever store im in, I HAVE to go down the book isle, even though it drives people crazy.

5.) I read really weird books.

Book Blogger Hop

The Book Blogger Hop is hosted by Crazy for Books and is a place just for book bloggers and readers to connect and share our love of the written word.

This week's question is: "If you could physically put yourself into a book or series…which one would it be and why?"

Hmm thats a really hard question. If I could put myself in any book series I think it would be...either the Little House on the Prairie series because I would love to relive that time as Laura once did. Or I would put myself in a really beautiful love story. I would do that because I would love to experience that.

  2. Oh. Little House is a good one -- but only at certain times. I'm not sure I want to suffer as much as they did and physically work as much as they did all the time!

  3. Apologies in advance for my answer this week as it will not immediately resonate with the book blogger population which happens to be 99.5% female.

My choice is a book series geared towards guys which won’t enthrall the vast majority of my fellow book bloggers (who are almost entirely female) with the extensive discussion of powerful weapons and sexy milspec gear, beautiful women, eye-popping action sequences (with occasionally obscene violence), and the like.

But there IS something in my answer that just about everyone of the female persuasion can benefit from my decidedly “books for guys” post. Hop on over to http://www.howardsherman.net to find out what it is.

    Happy Hop Friday!

  4. I'm with you on #4 all the way! I can't leave a store without hitting the books first.

  5. I'm scared about #1 too. Even though I have a Kindle and enjoy it, I still like holding the book sometimes.

  6. I would TOTALLY hate it if all or even most books went to e-format only. What would I be able to put on my shelves? Can I spray a Kindle or a Nook with that 'newly opened book' smell or get an app that makes it seem as though I'm hefting a newly-bought hardcover copy in my hands?

I thought about placing myself in an past-time series, but then I thought, "OK .. no hot showers or electricity .. not!" :)

  11. I also go down the book aisles in every store I go in that have one. I've learned that some places have bad selection of books.
